SPECIAL CONDITIONS Hawk's Nest Mine Coal Silo Facility Reclamation Project RN-COAL-MINES-9 I. BIDDING INFORMATION Project Location The project is located 22 miles east of Hotchkiss, Colorado in Gunnison County along a segment of old State Highway 133. Exhibits 1 and 2 attached to the bid package provide general and specific project location information respectively. Anew segment of Highway 133 has been constructed along the south side of the North Fork of the Gunnison River as depicted on Exhibit 2. Pre-Bid Meeting/Site Showing A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site showing will be held at the site at 10:00 a.m. on October 19, 1993. Prospective bidders should meet at the Coal Silo Facility area located along the old section of State Highway 133 (see Exhibit 2). The Pre-Bid Meeting is for the purpose of showing prospective bidders the work site and vicinity. Failure to attend the entire meeting will be cause for rejection of a bid. Bidders are advised [o be prompt. A sign-in sheet will be available at the Pre-Bid Meeting for firms to register their attendance. It is the bidder's responsibility to make certain their attendance is recorded on the sign-in sheet. Failure to sign-in or to attend the entire meeting will be cause for rejection of the bid. This Pre-Bid Meeting Involves Inspection of Revocation Underground Mine. The Safety of Prospective Bidders is of utmost importance to the Division of Minerals and Geology. Bidders are cautioned that, notwithstanding any remarks or clarifications given at this meeting and site showing, all terms and conditions of the contract documents remain unchanged unless they are changed by written amendment issued by the OWNER. If the answers to questions, or any amendment to the contract documents create ambiguities, it is the responsibility of the bidder to seek clarification prior to submittal of the bid. Bid Opening Date The bid opening date for this project is November 1, 1993 at 2:00 p.m. A written tabulation of the Bid results will be available to those bidders who submit aself-addressed stamped envelope with their bid.
