The condition of approval has been discussed with OSM <br />and is attached. <br />Mitigation number 10, "Venting of mine gases, including methane, by <br />the lessee shall be reviewed by the Colorado Air Quality Control <br />Division. The lessee shall obtain emission permits, as necessary." <br />CMLRD and the Colorado Department of Health-Air Pollution have <br />reviewed Western Fuels Mine Gas Venting Plan and have determined no <br />permit is required. <br />Mitigation number 12, "During the mine plan review, the lessee, <br />MLRD, OSM, and BLM shall assess the economic potential to capture <br />and use the gob methane and the potential for safely flaring the <br />gob methane if capture and uses is not feasible. The decision <br />resulting from that assessment will be incorporated into the <br />approved mine plan."
