:' <br />B. Diversions and Conveyance of Overland Flow <br />All diversions within the permit azea are designed and constructed in <br />accordance with Rule 4.05.3. Designs are discussed in the text and <br />diversion locations aze displayed in Exhibit 12-1 and Exhibit 12-2 of <br />Volume 2, Tab 12 of the permit application (4.05.3). <br />C. Stream Channel Diversions <br />1. No permanent stream channels aze proposed to be diverted. <br />D. Sedimentation Ponds <br />1. Two sediment ponds aze in place as previously approved by the Division <br />and have been treating disturbed azea surface water runoff under the <br />existing permit for the HG Mine. These ponds aze the Truck Loop Pond <br />(Pond A) and Railway Loop Pond (Pond B). Both ponds have performed <br />well over this period. The Truck Loop Pond was fitted with a separate <br />secondary spillway in 1992 (A separate secondary spillway was not <br />necessary for the Rail Loop Pond due to the size and configuration of its <br />single spillway). Designs for these ponds are included in Volume 2, Tab <br />12, Appendix 12-1 and locations of the ponds aze displayed on Exhibit 12- <br />2 of the permit application. <br />E. Acid-forntine and Toxic-forming Spoil <br />No coal is being mined at the site therefore there is no acid-forming or toxic- <br />forming spoil. Prior to backfilling the site, all debris and coal fines will be <br />disposed of in a manner which will prevent contamination of surface and <br />ground water <br />F. Impoundments <br />No impoundments other than sediment structures are proposed. <br />G. Ground and Surface Water Monitoring <br />Information on Surface and Ground Water Ivlonitorino is found in Volume 2. <br />Tab 13 of the permit application. Please refer to Fieure 2 of this document for <br />the locations of all ground and surface water monitoring sites. <br />
