An irrigation return flow ditch, which presently crosses the loadout facility, has been channeled <br />through a culvert to prevent contamination. A berm has been constructed around the loadout site <br />to contain all surface runoff on site. <br />On October 8, 1996, the Division conditionally approved Technical Revision #11 which <br />amended the reclamation plan to take into account the current disturbance at the Munger Canyon <br />Mine. The reclamation plan for the existing features required the haul road and mine bench to be <br />backfilled with on site materials, compacted in lifts and graded to blend with surrounding <br />topography. Culverts are to be removed and drainages returned to natural gradients. Some <br />riprap will be installed to help stabilize impacted portions of the drainages. Coal refuse from the <br />Loma Loadout will be used to partially backfill the mine portal bench. The revised reclamation <br />plan was conditioned upon a revised cost estimate and submittal of an additional bond as <br />necessary prior to any additional disturbance, modification of existing facilities, or resumption of <br />active status for purposes other than reclamation. <br />to <br />
