While the amount of seepage allowed by the State
Engineer's performance standard could be more than the annual net evaporative
less , we anticipate a net loss of water between seepage and evaporation, on an
annual basis after the slurry wall is constructed.
(e) Timetables for Mining and Reclamation Operations
The mining and the start of reclamation operations anticipated by the Applicant,
dependant on market demand, are summarized below:
Phase Year Minin in Area Mined Acres Reclamation in Area
1 1-3 South 38.1 South
2 3-8 Central 55.5 South, Central
_3 _ 9 NA NA Central, North
The mining, plant operations and reclamation activities for each phase are
described in the sections below. Construction of compacted clay finer in the first year will
allow the construction of the slurry wall later in Phase 1. Mining of the South
Reservoir will progress southward during Phase 1. This will allow mining with a
near vertical face along the south, west and north mining limits in Area 1.
Brighton Mine Conditional Use Permit
CAMAS Colorado, INC.
zooo~wo
May 2000
