SHE PERMITTEE
WILL ALSO SAMPLE WATER FOR COMPLETE CHE1•fICAL ANALYSIS, ACCORDING
TO CURRENT DIVISION GUIDELINES, SEMI-ANNUALLY. MONITORING REPORTS
WILL BE SUPPLIED TO THE DIVISION ON A SEMI-ANNUAL BASIS.
Although no ground water inflows into the mine workings are anticipated for
this operation, the Division requires documentation of inflows as_ outlined
in the following stipulation:
Stipulation No. 7:
THE PERI4ITTEE MUST SUBMIT TO TXE DIVISION RN ANNUAL REPORT
CHARACTERIZING TXE INFI.oWS, DISCHARGES AND THE CONSUMPTION OF
WATER WITHIN THE ffINE. THIS REPORT IS TO INCLUDE A MINE WORKINGS
MAP SHOWING THE LOCATION RND QU.'1NTITY OF INFLOWS; A TABLE KEYED TO
THE MINE MAP WHICH SHALL CONTAIN THE SOURCE (i.e., FAULT, FRACTURES,
ETC.), QUANTITY, DURATION, AND QUALITY (i .e., pH, ELECTRO-
CONDUCTIVITY AND TEMPERATURE) OF ALL NON-SEEP INFLOWS; A TABLE
CONTAINING RECORDS OF WATER DISCHARGED FROM THE MINE, CONSUMED IN
THE MINE AND IMPORTED FOR USE WITHIN TXE MINE; A DISCUSSION OF THE
WATER BALANCE WITHIN TXE MINE; AND, A PROJECTION OF HYDROLOGIC
IMPACTS OF MINING IN THE UPCOMING YEAR.
Examples of the type of inflow report requested are on file at the Division
office (see inflow reports for the U.S. Steel Somerset Mine and Western Slope
Carbon's Hawk's Nest Mine).
Additional requirements for monitoring the effects of the coal processing waste
pile are presented in Section XVIII of this Findings Document.
With the acceptance of the above three stipulations, the operation is in compli-
ance with the requirements of this section.
Information and Air Resources -
2.05.9l2flhf. 2.05.6 l1) and 4.17
The climatology section can be found in Section 2.09.8 (pages 109-120) of the
permit application.
