_22_ <br />Stipulation No. 6: <br />THE IUPPA WELL (031635) WILL BE ffONITORED MONTHLY BY THE PERMITTEE <br />FOR FIELD WATER QUALITY PARAMETERS (pH, CONDUCTIVITY, TEMPERATURE <br />AND SJRTER LEVEL ELEL'ATION AT SHE TIME OF SAMPLING). SHE PERMITTEE <br />WILL ALSO SAMPLE WATER FOR COMPLETE CHE1•fICAL ANALYSIS, ACCORDING <br />TO CURRENT DIVISION GUIDELINES, SEMI-ANNUALLY. MONITORING REPORTS <br />WILL BE SUPPLIED TO THE DIVISION ON A SEMI-ANNUAL BASIS. <br />Although no ground water inflows into the mine workings are anticipated for <br />this operation, the Division requires documentation of inflows as_ outlined <br />in the following stipulation: <br />Stipulation No. 7: <br />THE PERI4ITTEE MUST SUBMIT TO TXE DIVISION RN ANNUAL REPORT <br />CHARACTERIZING TXE INFI.oWS, DISCHARGES AND THE CONSUMPTION OF <br />WATER WITHIN THE ffINE. THIS REPORT IS TO INCLUDE A MINE WORKINGS <br />MAP SHOWING THE LOCATION RND QU.'1NTITY OF INFLOWS; A TABLE KEYED TO <br />THE MINE MAP WHICH SHALL CONTAIN THE SOURCE (i.e., FAULT, FRACTURES, <br />ETC.), QUANTITY, DURATION, AND QUALITY (i .e., pH, ELECTRO- <br />CONDUCTIVITY AND TEMPERATURE) OF ALL NON-SEEP INFLOWS; A TABLE <br />CONTAINING RECORDS OF WATER DISCHARGED FROM THE MINE, CONSUMED IN <br />THE MINE AND IMPORTED FOR USE WITHIN TXE MINE; A DISCUSSION OF THE <br />WATER BALANCE WITHIN TXE MINE; AND, A PROJECTION OF HYDROLOGIC <br />IMPACTS OF MINING IN THE UPCOMING YEAR. <br />Examples of the type of inflow report requested are on file at the Division <br />office (see inflow reports for the U.S. Steel Somerset Mine and Western Slope <br />Carbon's Hawk's Nest Mine). <br />Additional requirements for monitoring the effects of the coal processing waste <br />pile are presented in Section XVIII of this Findings Document. <br />With the acceptance of the above three stipulations, the operation is in compli- <br />ance with the requirements of this section. <br />Information and Air Resources - <br />2.05.9l2flhf. 2.05.6 l1) and 4.17 <br />The climatology section can be found in Section 2.09.8 (pages 109-120) of the <br />permit application. The applicant is currently in the process of transferring <br />air emissions permit from the name of the previous operator to their own. <br />A copy of the application for transfer of the air emission permit is included <br />in the application. A discussion of the air pollution control plan can be <br />found in Section 2.05.6(1) (page 226) of the application. <br />The proposed operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />
