Five of the stations are crest stage gauges designed to <br />measure the crest of flow events and collect samples <br />from these events. Four stations are grab sample <br />collectors for water quality analysis only. <br />c. Crest gauge and sample collection samples will be <br />monitored quarterly. <br />d. Surface water quality parameters include: <br />Field Measurements Laboratory Analysis <br />Discharge Ammonia Manganese, Total <br />pH Bicarbonate Nickel, Total <br />Specific Conductance Boron Nitrate <br />Temperature Calcium Potassium <br />Carbonate Selenium, Total <br />Chloride Sodium <br />Copper, Total Sulfate <br />Fluoride Total Suspended Solids <br />Iron, Total Total Dissolved Solids <br />Lead, Total Total Volatile Solids <br />Magnesium Sodium Adsorption Rate <br />III <br />Coal Mine Waste Banks <br />The Division is proposing to approve plans for use, construction <br />and maintenance of a coal mine waste disposal area. (4.10.1 (1)). <br />An alternative subdrainage system for the coal mine waste area has <br />been proposed. The Division finds that such an alternative will <br />ensure the applicable static safety factor, stability of the fill, <br />and protection of the surface and ground water.
