• <br />AMENDMENT N0. 2 <br />C~ <br />HAWK'S NEST MINE WEST AREA RECLAMATION PROJECT <br />BID N0. RN-GOAL-MINES-2 <br />1. Special Conditions -Project Work Specifications <br />Section III.2.2.A - Salvage <br />This section is hereby replaced in it's entirety by the following 2 paragraphs: <br />The CONTRACTOR is allowed salvage rights to all mining related structures, <br />facilities, parts, supplies and materials remaining within the west mine <br />working area limits. The working area limit boundary line is shown on <br />Exhibits 3A and 3B. Structures and facilities are shown at 1"=100' scale on <br />Exhibit 3A and at 1"=10' scale on Drawing Sheets 1 through 30. Salvage rights <br />are also allowed for all mine electrical power and lighting system poles, <br />wires, fixtures, artd any other electrical equipment which is not the property <br />of Delta-Montrose Electric Association (DhEA) and which is specified for <br />removal on Exhibits 36, 3C, 3D, and 3E as amended. The telephone lines <br />specified for removal on these Exhibits may also be salvaged by the <br />CONTRACTOR. However, all telephone poles specified for removal must be hauled <br />by the CONTRACTOR to the silo area truck dump pad shown on Exhibit 3C and <br />neatly stockpiled for subsequent pickup by the Delta County Telephone Company <br />(DCTC). The poles are the property of DCTC. <br />The OWNER does not represent or guarantee that any of the items remaining on <br />the project site at the time of the pre-bid meeting will be on the site at the <br />time structural demolition and removal operations begin. The OWNER is not <br />responsible for any subsequent unauthorized removal from the site, movement <br />of, or damage to any of the structures, facilities andlor mining related <br />materials which were in place at the time of the on-site pre-bid meeting. The <br />CONTRACTOR shall understand that the dollar amount bid for demolition and <br />removal of each item listed in the bid schedule shall consist of the total <br />cost of demolition or dismantling plus removal or disposal and less the <br />anticipated value of salvageable items that are anticipated to be on the site <br />at the time structural demolition operations begin. No additional payment <br />will be made above the price hid on account of any salvageable portions of <br />structures or other salvageable items having been removed, moved around, or <br />damaged. <br />Section III.2.2.B.9 - Grusher Building Demolition <br />In addition to the changes to the condition and make-up of this structure that <br />were described in Amendment No. 1, the remaining upper electrical room decking <br />has partially collapsed. The decking consists of both concrete and structural <br />and plate steel, The large skid mounted transformer located between the <br />crusher building and Portal No. 3, if referenced in previous bid documents, <br />has been completely removed from the project site. The roof bolter referenced <br />in Amendment No. 1 will have been completely removed prior to the bid opening. <br />
