This may
stem from the cement .stucco • finish which tends to mask and
restrain substantial surface seeking.
There were, however, localized areas on the building exteriar
which indicated 8ignfricHn[ ~Iisraosn .,..:---do:eris+rwiew.
SpQdficaUy, the south wall above the. second story level Haar the
east end of the house was badly deteriorated from prolonged
exposure to moisture. This deterioratlop corresponded with the
interior damage we. noted ;within the upstairs sitting room.
Thete was also a clearly visible crack at the Junction of the south
and east walls. Substantial seeking has also developed at the
sown of the'buttress at the northeast corner of the house.
Jioof System
• A standing seam metal roofing system has been installed on the
upper and lower portions of the house. There was clear
evidence that water runoff from the upper roof is circumventing
the flashing end waterprooHrtg at the easternmost wood scupper
that discharges to .the south side of the house. This leak
appeared to be the. primary sours of moisture that is producing
the significant deterioration of the south wall.
Positive surface drainage has been provided along the east and
north sides of the house. However, marginal drainage was
noted adiacent to the west and south elevations.
aov~a~,w4~~ 22:16 No,013 P.04
i'rx~ •.

::~ .
