These are important questions that need to be addressed. We respectfully <br />` Address citizens' concerns about the inappropriateness of open-pit mining <br />operations near residential areas. <br />Address aggregate industry's concept of "Good Neighbor." <br />Discuss concerns over Lafarge's application-permit with the State of Colorado <br />Department of Minerals and Geology for a future batch plant in the St. Vr~lin <br />Valley vis-a-vis the denial of the batch plant by the Boulder County <br />Commissioners. <br />Discuss endangered wells and availability of Longmont city water service. <br />Discuss health issues regarding presence of airborne crystalline silica. <br />` Discuss noise pollution from mining operations. <br />Discuss financial compensation from industry to residents for deterioration of ctuality <br />of life standards, and for potential decrease in property values. <br />Discuss weed control plan on mining properties. <br />" Discuss and solidify order of mining plan -Lafarge. <br />Obtain and discuss current reports on hydrology of area. <br />••Aosert wha!'s clasrst sa your hrart; your family, friends aid your lungr " <br />
