Box 178 <br />San Luis, Colorado 81152 <br />Subject: January 1999 Water Sampling Results <br />Dear Mr. Gray: <br /> <br />The Shalom domestic well was sampled on January 20, 1999. The water samples were <br />analyzed for cyanide, total metals, and fluoride as outlined in paragraph 26 of Battle <br />Mountain's water Decree, Case No. 89CW32. The analysis report is attached. The <br />concentrations of all constituents are below the Colorado Drinking Water Standards. <br />The three pairs of lysimeters located west of the tailings d'aposal area have teen <br />checked bi-weekly April 1992 thru March 1996 and quarterly since March 1996. All <br />lysimeters continue to be dry. <br />The next sampling event will take place in July 1999.
