During his 26-yeaz cazeer at Seneca Coal <br />Company he has been responsible for sample collection and data interpretation of a monitoring network that is one of <br />the most detailed in the state. It consists of 15 NPDES dischazge points, 17 stream sites, 22 springs, 17 continuous Elow <br />recorders and 93 groundwater monitoring wells. Among his responsibilities aze: <br />• Maintaining Seneca Coal Company's Water Quality Data Base. This powerful database has the ability to plot and <br />track water quality trends by a variety of statistical methods, to screen data using any number of water quality <br />standards lists, provide seasonal extracts of data, and provides for numerous reporting functions. <br />• Preparation and submittal of Annual Hydrology Reports for the three Seneca mining azeas. Reprzrentativer of the <br />CDRMS have indicated that there refwrtr are come of the best in the state. <br />• Mr. Jones has worked with the CDPHE on numerous receiving stream issues. These include the reclassification of <br />the streams in Seneca's azea of the Yampa River Basin. He has also submitted a "Plan to Eliminate Uncertainty" <br />regazding selenium concentrations in Dry Creek (a tributary to the Yampa River). <br />• Monitoring and water supply well design and installations. <br />• Obtaining and administering water rights. <br />• Addressing CDRMS hydrology permitting issues. <br />• Addressing CDPHE NPDES permitting issues and Dischazge Monitoring Reports. <br />• Maintaining CDPHE drinking water system. <br />• Conducting Quarterly reservoir inspections. <br />• Overseeing regulated waste management. <br />• Maintaining the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan and conducting inspections. <br />• Maintaining the Stormwater Management Plan and conducting inspections. <br />• Conducting Whole Effluent Tozaaty sampling (NPDES discharge points) <br />• Maintaining and operating a weather station and two preapitation gauges. <br />Seneca Coal Company .
