applies only to density measurements between the 1.5 acre mature shrub
clumps and not to counts of shrub stem density on shrub pads within mature
shrub clumps.
In shrub clumps, each transplanted shrub pad will be inventoried fur shrub
species and stem density based un Division regulation 4.15.8(7)(a) through
(c). Each shrub stem meeting 4.15.5(7)(a) through (c) criteria will he
counted toward meeting the shrub density standard. Further, between shrub
clumps and pads within a clump, each individual stem of a species sampled
by density transects will be counted as an individual stem.
From this data an average stem density count per acre per unit area of
reclaimed land will be calculated. If the actual average shrub stem den-
sity count is 400 stems per acre ur greater, successful shrub stem estab-
lishment will have been met.
The narrative in Section 3.6.3.5 describes shrub establishment methods and
species to be utilized.
4-126d
