A drainage diversion ditch was excavated above the tailings pond to intercept <br />water runoff and convey it away from the tailings impoundment. (Item 1& <br />Item 3: February 15, 1995) <br />3. Design storm for the ditches above the tailings pond is an SC. type 2- 100 yr., <br />24 hr. storm of 4.6 inches. (Item 3: May 2, 1995) <br />- A seepage collection ditch will also be excavated azound the <br />downstream perimeter of the tailings embankment dam. The water <br />that collects in this ditch will be conveyed by pipeline to the Hazel A <br />adit for underground storage and will be recycled through the milling <br />facility. (Item 3: February 15, 1995) <br />4. The line does not allow any seepage through Ute dam and, therefore, no <br />seepage collection was installed.
