Ames completed excavation of the Phase Nc anchor trench on the eastem section of the Phase Nc VLF. Ames excavated approximately 150 feet of anchor trench in prepazation for geomembrane installation during this reporting period: Ames continued production of Drain Cover Fill (DCF) material at the screen plant by the secondary crusher. Poly-Flex completed deployment of 80-mil single-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane in the Phase Nc OSA. Geomembrane was installed in the Phase Nc OSA on the southeast facing slope of Raven Hill downwazd to the Phase Nb/IVc tie-in. Poly-Flex deployed 80-mil single-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane over an area of approximately 67,783 squaze feet in the Phase Nc OSA during this reporting period. Geomembrane panels C-796 through C-811 were deployed, seamed, and tested by Poly-Flex. Destructive fusion and extmsion seam samples DFc-291 through DFc-296 and DXc-31 were marked and removed. Destructive fusion and extmsion seam peel and sheaz testing on samples DFc-291 through DFc-296, and DXc-31 were performed and passed per project specification. Ames continued hauling, placement and grading of DCF material into the Phase Nc OSA in the central and eastern sections of the VLF, Raven Hill area. Ames placed DCF material and High Volume Solution Collection (HVSC) piping per the project plans onto approved geomembrane panels. A map of the azea worked during this reporting period is provided in Attachment C. Field Monitoring and Testing Activities Golder observed construction activities associated with Phase Nc earthworks. All constmction materials and soil materials placed were verified as suitable, and construction methods were in accordance with project specifications. Golder observed the excavation and construction of the LDT in the Phase Nc VLF for french dimensions (1' wide by 1' deep), slope, and materials used. Golder observed excavation of the Phase Nc anchor trench for proper location, dimension (2' wide by 3' deep) and maintenance prior to geomembrane deployment. Anchor trench excavation met or exceeded the requirements of the specification. Golder observed placement, compaction, and moisture conditioning of SLF in the Phase Nc OSA for subgrade preparation, thickness, compaction, moisture-content, and materials used. The Golder CQA Earthworks Monitor performed four nuclear moisture-density tests (SLNc-241 through SLNc-244) and performed two nucleaz moisture-density retests (SLNc-241a and SLNc-242a).
