He indicated that some statements in
applications must be considered as commitments because of the
difficulty in distinguishing information statements from
commitments and suggested we clarify those distinctions ty way
of Technical Revision (TR) to the permit.
During a second discussion with Mr. McArdle in July, 1983,
we indicated a desire to submit one TR covering all
clarifications. However, it was necessary to develop
additional soils information for inclusion in the TR and we
suggested an October submittal date. hlr. McArdle indicated
that an October submittal would be appropriate. Accordingly,
we hereby request the following changes in our
mining/reclamation permit.
1. Various statements throughout the original application
reference the life of the mine as 30 years, plus or minus,
depending upon mar}:et conditions. Concurrently, the year 2006
is referenced as the estimated closure date and the reclamation
schedule at closure begins that year. we wish simply to
emphasize that market conditions define the size of the
orebody, determine the rate of production and therefore dictate
1707 Cole Boulevard • Goltlen, Colorado 80x01 • 3031234-9020 • TWX: 910~937~0746
