a. Groundwater monitoring is conducted at fifteen groundwater stations and <br />two alluvial wells within and adjacent to the permit area. The stations <br />are depicted on Map 137 , and ace identified as follows: <br />TVJ2-7U 35-4M <br />TVJ2-7L 35-4L <br />2-7-U 36-2U <br />2-7M 36-2L <br />2-7L TW2-17M <br />4-20U 2-17U <br />4-20L 2~17L <br />35-4U QAL-5 <br /> RM-1 <br />b. The two alluvial stations (QAL-5 and RM-1) include quarterly monitoring <br />of water quality and monthly monitoring of water levels and field <br />parameters. Depth to groundwater is measured quarterly at all bedrock <br />stations. <br />c. Results from the monitoring are reported to the Division on a quarterly <br />basis. <br />d. Groundwater quality paruneters include: <br />Field Measurements <br />Discharge (or level) <br />pH <br />Specific Conductance <br />Temperature <br />Laboratory Analysis <br />Ammonia <br />Bicarbonate <br />Boron <br />Calcium <br />Carbonate <br />Chloride <br />Copper, Total <br />Fluoride <br />Iron, Total <br />Lead, Total <br />Magnesium <br />Manganese, Total <br />Nickel, Total <br />Nitrate <br />Potassium <br />Selenium, Total <br />Sodium <br />Sulfate <br />Total Suspended Solids <br />Total Dissolved Solid <br />Total Volatile Solids <br />Sodium Adsorption Rate <br />2. The applicant will conduct monitoring of surface water in a manner approved <br />by the Division. The monitoring plan was submitted under 2.05.6(3)(b)(iv) <br />and includes the following: (4.05.13(2)). <br />a. Surface water monitoring is currently conducted at nine stations in and <br />adjacent to the permit area. Three additional stations will be utilized one <br />year prior to mining in the extreme northwest (lease C-8424) portion of <br />the permit area.
