!'
Reclamation Requirements for Gold Hill Mill
May 29, 1996
Page 3
configuration. The operator may not initiate reclamation of the tailing
pond until the water balance situation is addressed to the satisfaction
of the Division, either by obtaining a CDPS permit for the Hazel-A
discharge, or by modifying the permit through the technical revision
process to include installation of a hydraulic bulkhead seal in the Hazel-
A Adit.
11. At this time, the approved reclamation plan calls for leaving the
mill building on-site. If the operator decides to remove the building
prior to bond release and permit termination, the reclamation permit would
have to be appropriately amended.
12. The current reclamation plan does not include any provisions for
cutting, folding, or re-anchoring of the tailing pond liner as a component
of reclamation. If the operator intends to manipulate the liner in any
way, this would have to be incorporated into the permit as a technical
revision.
13. If the operator wants to modify the grass seed mixture, tree and
shrub species or planting rates, or soil amendments required, changes need
to be proposed as a technical revision to the permit. Agricultural lime
is currently required as a soil amendment for potentially acidic
substrates such as mine waste or mill tailing.
cc: Scott Ronzia, Golder Associates
Curt Bernhardt, COM, Inc.
C:\WP51\GOLDHILL.PLN
