The initial
report will be submitted by January 15, 1985.
Stipulation No. 2: The quarterly report concerning inflows and
water balance in Twin Pines No. 2 Mine will be submitted as
stipulated in the findings.
Stipulation No 3: Twin Pines is contemplating an outside source
of water for use at and in the mine. The City of Rockvale has
been approached and requested to provide water from their
pipeline on Oak Creek. Water from the pipeline will be pumped
to a storage tank at the mine site. The pump station will be
located adjacent to the Rockvale pipeline near station 3 + 29 on
the access road. A 2 inch buried pipeline in the access road
right of way will be installed in the initial construction phase.
As an alternate water would be purchased locally and hauled to
the site.
Stipulation No. 4: Concerning the handling of top soil from the
Lewis Gulch fill area. Page B1 (rev) of the permit application
describes the procedure for handling the top soil from the fill
area. As stated in the application the "top soil?" will be
removed from the slope and placed in a temporary stockpile near
the fill area. Upon completion of the highwall fill, the
temporary stockpile will be hauled to the bench and uniformly
spread on the highwall fill slope. The plan for reclaiming the
Lewis Gulch fill area is presented on pages 86 (rev) and 88 (rev)
of the permit application.
