Mr. Thomas A. Schreiner
2
April 14, 1994
concerns are the height at which highwalls will be stable
during mining, and the height at which highwalls will be
stable at the end of mining. Since we need these tests in
order to make that determination, I would appreciate it very
much if we could be granted another 30 days to complete these
tests and determine whether or not any technical revision or
change is needed, or provide you with the tests reflecting
that the existing plan is adequate. Please let either
myself, Buck Barnhart or Brian Geddes know if this is
agreeable, and let any of us know if you have any questions.
I apologize for the delay, but I can assure you that we
have been working diligently to complete these tests and a
combination of personnel, weather and equipment has made it
virtually impossible to do this within a short time frame.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Very truly yours,
THE SUMMIT PRESSED BRICK
AND TILE COMPANY
By : ~ I ~ ~~il/'~
Jo h Welte
Pr ident
