Michael B. Long
November 9, 1993
Page Two
We request that the City be permitted to discuss these issues
with a person in a position of authority in your Division.
Apparently, Division representatives have been on the property
several times in the past for inspection purposes without once
notifying the City, as the property owner. The City is entitled
to the courtesy of advance notice. Superintendent Fernandez was
informed by telephone that an inspection is scheduled to occur
on Veteran"s Day, this Thursday, November 11, 1993. That is a
City Holiday. Those City officials working that day will be
involved in a budget meetings. No one from the City will be
able to be present for the inspection.
Please re-schedule that inspection to a date and time when City
officials are able to be present and discuss this matter.
Please contact City Manager Bill Cordova at (719) 846-9843 for
re-scheduling.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Bruce Billings
City Attorney
BS:lv
xc: Bill Cordova, City Manager
James Fernandez, Utilities Superintendent
