Revisions
The following revisions were submitted by the operator subsequent
to issuance of the Renewal 03 proposed decision.
Technical Revisions
TR-32 was deemed complete on June 13, 2000. The revision was
submitted in response to a DMG revision order, and addresses
various reclamation plan changes necessitated by earlier than
anticipated cessation of mining. Proposed changes include final
refuse pile designs, Coal Creek permanent diversion modifications,
and post-grading sediment controls. The revision is still under
review.
TR-33 was deemed complete July 12, 2000. The revision addresses a
proposed permanent minewater discharge system for the South Portal
mine. The operator's proposal would utilize a combination of the
existing 6 inch siphon through the sealed Northwest Intake to
Discharge Point 002; with an existing de-watering pipe from a sump
at the upper end of the workings, extending through the main South
Portal seals, to Discharge Point 001. The revision is still under
review.
Minor Revisions
MR-041 approval decision was issued March 21, 2000. The revision
provided an interim de-watering plan for the Roadside South Mine
workings.
MR-092 approval decision was issued April 3, 2000. The revision
provided updated affected and disturbed area acreages for the
Roadside North and South Portals Mine.
MR-043 approval decision was issued April 28, 2000. The revision
allowed for use of a small pre-law overburden pile as a borrow area
for use in backfilling the South Fan Shaft.
MR-044 approval decision was issued June 5, 2000. The revision
modified the approved "shadscale components" seedmix, specifically
for the 2-West Portals and South Fan reclamation, due to seed
