Juan Garcia has indicated that he had counted
the elk and in fact found 270 animals in total. In addition, Juan
indicated the presence of numerous deer scattered throughout the
reclaimed area.
or perhaps overuse, by local elk and deer populations on Colowyo
reclaimed areas is an important point and when possible should be
more factually represented on the inspecation reports.
Colowyo believes the documentation of the extensive use,
December 4, 1992 Inspection Report
Records - The Division notes incorrectly that with
respect to blasting records, "Inclusion of sketches was initiated
on 11/23/92". Colowyo believes that sketches of blasts have always
been present on all blasting reports. Colowyo has merely modified
the methodology of providing the sketches to a format preferred by
the Division.
The change in Colowyo's procedure should also not be
interpreted as an indication that, perviously, sketches did not
appear on blasting reports. Colowyo's change in methodology was
implemented in an effort to provide blasting record information in
a format more easily understood and deciferable by the Division.
