Revegetation of All Areas The CONTRACTOR will supply the fertilizer (commercial), mulch, and equipment for chiseling, fertilizer application, seeding, mulching and crimping. Revegetation efforts will occur on approximately four (4) acres, which includes the coal mine waste disposal area, the cut and fill slopes, adjacent anticipated disturbances and access roads to each Owner will provide the seed. Seed application rate is specified on Table 1, attached. Measurement and Payment Measurement and payment for this Task will be as per Revegetation Specification 20.0. Revegetated areas will be measured to the nearest 0.1 acre and paid at the unit price bid on the Bid Schedule Item 4. The price bid shall include all costs for labor, materials, equipment and all other items necessary for revegetation as described in these specifications, including work at the coal mine waste disposal area, the cut and fill slopes, adjacent disturbances and on all access point and roads. Payment for this task will be made only for the unit price shown under Item 4 of the Bid Schedule. Payment shall be as this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. Task 5 Equipment Rental Additional areas in and adjacent to the Project Area may additional work. A CAT DEC or equivalent 80 FHP machine with operator, and a CAT 416B Backhoe loader or equivalent 74 fhp machine with operator. The hours outlined in Item 5 of the Bid Schedule are NOT guaranteed. All work will be accomplished according to Specification 19.0, Equipment Rental, attached. Measurement and Payment Measurement and payment will be made as per Specification 19.0, Equipment Rental, which is attached. Payment will be made at the unit prices established in Item 5 of the Bid Schedule. The hours outlined in Item 5 of the Bid Schedule are NOT guaranteed. PROJECT OBSERVATION The PROJECT MANAGER will be at the project site periodically to monitor construction activities and ensure that each work item is completed and constructed to design specifications. The PROJECT MANAGER will be available during regular business hours (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.) on weekdays. Inspections will not be scheduled on weekend days or holidays without prior approval of the PROJECT MANAGER. It is the Contractor's responsibility to schedule inspections with the Project Manager so as not to delay the work. The following items must be observed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER before proceeding with additional work: 1. Upon completion of topsoil removal operations at the disposal area; 2. Upon completion of opening the mine roof and placement of the rock or concrete back stop material; 3. Upon completion of filling of the mine with coal mine waste; 4. Upon completion of coal mine waste cut operations;
