M r
7
The geological information contained in the R2P? was reviewed by a staff
geologist and found to be sufficient for use by the geologists and mining
engineers. Appropriate geological maps were also submitted for use in
determining the extent of the coal reserves contained on the leases in
questions.
Tne following coal quality data was contained in the R2P2 package on a
seam by seam basis for the seams to be mined:
0 Moisture wt i
0 Ash wt S
0 Sulfur rt S
0 Volatile Metter wt S
0 Fixed Carbon wt S
0 Heating Value Btu/lb
0 Summary of Mineral Analysis of Ash Data and Cnlorine content
including, Si02, A1203, Ti 02, Fe203, CaO, MgO, K20,
Napo, 503, P205, SrO, BaO, Mn304, undetermined, and
cniori ne.
This information is of sufficient quality to determine the quality of the
mineable reserve base.
Tne coal seams will be mined using Longrrall and conventional (Roam b
Pillar) mining techniques with the standard equipment associated with
these two mining practices. Mining sequence information 1s contained an
mine plan maps showipg development on a year by year basis. The
production rate is contained in the text of the R2P2 on a year Dy year,
seam Dy seam oasts. The estimated overall recovery factor for the two
seams to be ai ned ( the B 8 D seams ) 1 s 42.6 percent. The iota 1 number of
acres contained by the five (5) leases (C-023703, D-041201, C-0126669,
C-8424, and C-8425) is 6441.60.
The estimated reserve bases were submitted Dy the company including
in-place, alneable, and recoverable reserves. These figures were checked
for accuracy Dy the staff of Lhis office for all segos. Further analysis
was performed for the two seams to be eined since mineable and recoverable
reserves are only present in the B and D seams. The results of this
analysis are as follows:
The total in-place reserves were calcualted by a staff geologist at this
office.
c ~,
