<br />The applicant is a company (Permit, page 1).
<br />Rule 2.03.4(2) Applicant Identification
<br />The Federal Employer ID No. of the applicant, Coors Energy company, is 84-0829663. The
<br />resident agent is M. Caroline Tumer, and the payer of the abandoned mined land reclamation fee
<br />is John A. Schallenl:amp. (Permit, page 1).
<br />Rule 2.03.4(3) Interests Identification
<br />Officers and Directors of the Coors Energy Company, the applicant, and the Coors Brewing
<br />Company, who wholly owns the applicant, is provided (Permit, page 2). The requirement for
<br />identification of interests upstream of the Coors Brewing Company is under review, pending the
<br />outcome of the proposed AVS rules [30CFRPart 701, et.al, FederaC Register: Apri121, 1997
<br />(Volume 62, ;Number 760], and subsequent State implementation. No interest has other coal
<br />mining permits (Permit, page 3). The applicant (Permit, page 3), owns all surface lands. Owners
<br />of mineral rights are presented on page 3 of the Permit. Contiguous lands -surface and
<br />subsurface owners - aze provided on pages 3 through 4a of the Permit. A MSHA number is not
<br />longer required at the site (Permit, page 4a). The applicant has no other land interests contiguous
<br />to the area (Permit, page 4a).
<br />Rule 2.03.5 Compliance Infotmation
<br />Incompliance (Permit, page 5). No mining operation has been suspended or revoked, no mining
<br />bond or similar document has been forfeited. No violations have been invoked during the last
<br />three yeazs, however, a list is provided on pages 5 and 6 of the Permit for the period 3/30/93
<br />through]/04/94.
<br />Rule 2.03.6 Right of Entry and Operation Information
<br />In compliance. The Keenesburg Mine is approximately 4.5 miles north of Keenesburg,
<br />Colorado. A summary of right of entry and operation information is at page 14 of the Permit.
<br />The legal description (paragraph 1.1 of the Permit) is found to be adequate. Coal extraction was,
<br />and pit reclamation activities are, located in Sections 25 and 36, Township 3 North, Range 64
<br />West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, in an azea composed of 788.54 acres, more or
<br />less. The Permit includes, for access to the site from the north end of County Road Number ~9,
<br />road easements in Section 14, T2N, R64W, S Section 11, N ,Section 11, Township 2 North,
<br />Range 64 West, E Section 2, Township 2 North, Range 64 West, SE Section 35, Township 3
<br />North, and Section 36, Township 3 North, Range 64 West, of the 6th P.M. Four topsand
<br />stockpiles and a baseline vegetation plot are located adjacent to the roadway easements in
<br />Sections 2, I I, 36 and 2~ Township 2 & 3 North, Range 64 West of the Sixth principal Meridian.
