Facility Flows: 0.216 MGD (150 gpm) - estimated average and daily
(Cont.) maximum maintenance dewatering discharge flow
following the first three months of discharge.
III. RE~~EIVING STREAM:
A. Identification, Classification and Standards
1. Identification: The discharge goes to Gregory Gulch (segment 13)
which is tributary to North Clear Creek, Clear Creek sub-basin,
South Platte River basin. Segment 13 includes the mainstem of
North Clear Creek, including all tributaries, lakes, and
reservoirs, from the source to the confluence with North Clear
Creek. The distance from Gregory Gulch to North Clear Creek is
approximately 0.75 miles. See figure 3 for the map showic~g the
locations of discharge point 001 and Gregory Culch.
2. Classification: Segment 13 is classified for the following uses:
Use Protected; Recreation, Class 2; Aquatic Life, Class 2 (Cold);
Agriculture.
3. Numeric Standards: The complete list of standards for segment 13
which have been assigned in accordance with the above
classifications can be found in 3.8.C Classifications and Numeric
Standards for the Scuth Platte River Basin (5 CCP. 1002-5), as
amended January 6, 1S92. T_he standards which have been reviewed
with respect to this facility's disc~iarges are summarized as M3 in
Table VI-2 later in this rationale.
The water quality standard-based parameters from segment 13 which
have been included as limits and/or monitoring requirements in this
permit include:
pH, standard units
Dissolved Cadmium, mg/1
Dissolved Copper, mg/1
Dissolved Hexavalent Chromium, mg/1
Total Recoverable Iron, mg/1
Dissolved Lead, mg/1
Total Recoverable Manganese, mg/1
T_etal Mercury, mg/1
Dissolved Nickel, mg/1
Dissolved Silver, mg/1
Dissolved Zinc, mg/1
B.. Receiving Water Data
1. Stream Low Flow: The flows which are used to calculate effluent
limitations are acute flows, those that occur for one day every
