The deep piezometers: W-LA at about Elevation 6327 (tip elev.),W-1C at
about Elevation 6210 (tip elev,) and W-]F at about Elevation 6198 (tip elev.)
near the substation, and reportedly ]?P-4 and PP-7 further down the slope
are essentially dry indicating that either there is ao water deep in the
formation _ that the deep formations aze pervious enough to discharge the
water out at a faster rate than the water is flowing is during this time of
the year.
4. The production well and deep piezometers near the substation: W-1, W-1D,
and W-lE located in the bedrock formation and W-iB located at the
bedrock/colluvium interface have a limited amount of water that appears to
be associated with the coal seams. W-1 was the deep pumping well and the
depths of water sad responses to the pump teat in W-1B, W-1D, sad W-lE
are as follows:
(a) W-1$ currently has about 27 feet of water and quickly dropped about
4.8 feet during pumping and after 2 weeks has recovered over
3.2 feet Current elevation of water is about 6262.
(b) '0P'-1D currently has about 8 feet of water and is slowly dropping by
about 2 feet after 3 weeks since installation (and perhaps since
pumping).
