<br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />J <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1.5 RESULTS <br />1.5.1 General Characteristics and Setting of the Soils <br />The general nature of the area and setting of the soils <br />has been discussed in Section 1.¢ and is discussed in detail <br />in other sections of this permit application. <br />1.5.2 Soil Maps <br />The soil map is provided at the end of this report. <br />The Soil Inventory Map (Map 1, Appendix D) depicts the soil <br />mapping units occurring in the pad area. The soil depth in <br />inches for each of the mapping units is shown in parentheses <br />below the map unit symbols. The Disturbed Area Map (Map 2, <br />Appendix D) shows the location of sample sites and existing <br />disturbance in the study area. This map also classifies road <br />segments by revegetation potential. <br />1.5.3 Soil Mapping Unit Descriptions <br />A narrative description of each of the mapping units <br />and disturbed segments is provided in Appendix A. The <br />description includes slope, location, vegetation, pH, depth <br />and other diagnostic features useful in determining the <br />suitability of the soils for reclamation.
