EXHIBIT "E" -RECLAMATION PLAN (Technical Revision 6-20-85 Page 7)
the undisturbed land so that the amount of topsoil lost through handling processes
will be implemented by the operator in the future, thus less loss.
The operator will seed the topsoil stockpile by hand with sweet clover (1/2 lb. /acre)
and perennial rye (3 1bsJacrel to avoid erosion as soon as the technically revised
mining and reclamation.plans and corrective actions have been approved by the Mined
Land Reclamation Board.
Presently, there is approximately 4,000 cubic yards of topsoil in storage, The
topsoil in storage was stripped from Area "A" as outlined in red on the map in
Exhibit "C". Future topsoil will be stripped from Area "C" as outlined in red on
the map in Exhibit "C" and will contain approximately 9, 000 cubic yards of topsoil.
Area "B" will have topsoil stored as outlined in red on the map in Exhibit "C" and
will contain approximately 4, 000 cubic yards of topsoil. This will be put in the
topsoil storage areas where there will be no stripping of such topsoil. Also, see
this on the maps in Exhibit "C" to determine what topsoil actually will be stripped
and what topsoil is yet to be salvaged.
The following is the solid waste disposal plan for the McKenzie Pit as proposed
by the Operator. As stated previously, the asphalt and concrete w:~ste dumped
in designated piles on the northern boundary of phase two and covering approximately
a~ l/4 acre will be graded to a flat surface and compacted in 3 ft. layers. This is
"-~v needed as fill to raise and level the area for a crusher and stockpile to be implemented
~ for use as the mining proceeds west. After mining ceases this area will be covered
~{
with 6 inches of topsoil to insure a growth media for revegetation. As stated before,
there will be a three ft. berm constructed of earth and concrete along the to~of the
mesa to insure that no waste concrete or asphalt will go downslope. There will be no
more asphalt and concrete dumping on the northern boundary of the permit boundary.
