~~ ~ III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
~MMARY OF PROPOSED PLAN F~ATURES sss
SNYDER QUARRY ~'~-~J^] `2I ~
prepared by Mark Heffner
MAIN FEATURES:
1. Removal of approximately 10.25 acres of permitted, undisturbed land from the mining
plan. Permit boundaries would remain as they are. Land removed from the mining plan
would become buffer.
2. Creation of an over excavation hole in the area of the existing main body of the quarry.
This hole would be backfilled and a drainage outlet to the east into the original drainage course
would be established.
3. Phase II would not be changed from the existing plan, other than to improve revegetation
of that area.
4. Alteration of Phase III to restrict all mining to the east side of the ridge line. This
essentially eliminates the possibility of visual disruption from Williams Canyon or Cave of the
Winds.
5. Alteration of Phase IV to restrict mining to the west side of the ridge line coupled with
layback of the north face in the current quarry to produce a 3:1 slope without benches. This
will greatly reduce visual impact from the west property boundary of Cedar Heights.
6. Over excavation of existing drainage between Phase III and Phase IV with drainage
reconstruction and elimination of most if not all benching patterns.
7. Application of MRAClCastle Concrete enhanced reclamation to all areas that would still be
disturbed, including enhancement of the visual berm vegetation.
July 1, 1993
