Since this well will no longer be used for production we are proposing
to convert the well from production to monitoring status.
To convert the well, American Soda will remove the 4" production tubing from both the long
and short string casings and set a Cast Iron Bridge Plug (CISP) in both casings at the
elevation of the bottom of the short string casing. If for some reason a CBIP can not be run in
the casing then a Cement Basket will be placed at the required elevation to establish a cement
plug.
A cement plug will be placed in the long string casing from the CBIP or Cement Basket to
surface.
A cement plug will be placed in the short string casing from the CBIP or Cement Basket to
approximately the dissolution surface elevation. A Time Domain Reflectometry Cable (TDR)
will be strapped to a 2 and 7/8 inch tubing and placed inside the short string tubing to the top of
the cement plug. Cement will then be circulated down the tubing and back up the annular
space between the tubing and the casing. The cement within the tubing will be displaced
leaving the tubing open for temperature surveys.
Permit Number ~-l~~Ql/f- Z- 1'~
Class: ^Permit
Section/Exhibit_ .~~- _ ___ _ _ _ _____ _ _ _
Delivering a Crysta:; ciass:~o~Revislon ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~;
www.america~i_rypeiseq,_____ __ _____~
Class: O Report O Hydro Gener (~'~,r~~ ,p ~/~
Doc Type: ____ _~~111_yY 1ADl _ S!_~_aLL`-.Ll--~~l.~
~Appliwtion (Coal only) a Bond ^ Enforcement Inspection
ENV.23.04
