Department of Planning & Development <br />1120 Court Street, Rm. 200 <br />Pueblo, CG 81003-2889 <br />Dear Mr. Meier: <br />Re: Special Use Permit # 570 <br />Thank you for sending us copies of the maps used by Pueblo County in plot=ing <br />Special Use Permit # 570, for Southwest Ready Mix, Inc. <br />we nave reviewed the basic survey data used in preparation of our Master Tit 1e <br />P1ac covering Sec. 3, T 21 S, R 63 W, a copy of which was sent to you. It <br />appears cha[ there were two different surveys made of that area, one in 1869 that <br />laid out lots numbered 1 through 4 south of the river, and another in 1871 r_hat <br />laid out lots numbered 1 through 4 north of the river. .These lots have the same <br />east and west boundary lines, so that a casual reference to tkte pla[ would lead <br />one to infer, for example, that lot i on the north side of the river was an <br />extension of, and the same as, lot 1 on the south side of the river. This, in <br />fact, is [he way in which your planning maps depict the situation; in Section 3 <br />you show one only of lots 1 through 4, when in fact there are two. <br />The only way this situation can be resolved legally is by resurvey by the BLM <br />cadastral division. At the moment, however, we do not have funds or personnel <br />available for this task.
