The samples from the alluvial wells show the groundwater in the alluvium to
vary from a low Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) of 3240 mg/1 to 7110 mg/1. TDS
for the Upper Sandstone Facies varied from a low of 420 mg/1 at 310136-2p to a
high of 1790 mg/1. The range in TDS for the Siltstone and Coal Facies varies
from a low of 325 mg/1 at 310135-4m to a high of 5748 mg/1 at the Staley House
well. The range in TDS in the Lower Sandstone Facies varies from a low of 810
mg/1 TDS at Well 310135-4L to a high of 2100 mg/1 TDS at well 21012-7 TW-L.
The results of the groundwater analysis indicates that the quality of the
water in the alluvium is poorer than that in the three facies zones.
