TRAFFIC IMPACT ANALYSIS
FOR THE
GOSNEY & SONS, INC. GRAVEL PIT EXPANSION
t

INTRODUCTION
' This traffic impact analysis is conducted to determine if any traffic operational
' problems, in the vicinity of the Gosney & Sons, Inc. gravel pit, are introduced
as the result of the proposed operations expansion on the existing and adjacent
' sites. The report considers the change in trucking operations from the current
' operating site in Bayfield to the existing gravel pit site. In addition, the report
recommends roadway and operational improvements that will tend to minimize
any adverse impacts on the local road system and improve project access
' safety. The report also calculates the proportional share of certain road
improvements to CR 521 as the direct result of the proposed gravel pit
1 expansion and trucking operations relocation.
The proposed project is located approximately 2 miles south of Bayfield on the
' west side of CR 521 (see Vicinity Map, Figure 1). The proposed gravel pit
' expansion project (see Site Plan, Figure 2) involves the Lucero Property and
the Glen Williams Allotment. The Lucero Property is an approximately 27.95
' acre tract adjacent and to the north of the Gosney & Sons, Inc. Bayfield No.
' 1 Gravel Pit. The Glen Williams Allotment Proposed Lease Area is an
' 1
