In addition, the Division has requested that all petroleum products
of gasoline, lubricants and other potentially volatile materials be
removed from both the mine portal site and sales office area. This
material left unattended on the site may pose a serious threat to
the public safety as well as endangering the environment. Please
include in your response to this item, documentation of the final
deposition or location of the disposal facility for this material.
Current review is still underway on TR 07 submitted for final
reclamation of the Twin Pines sites, with the adequacy letter due
out late this month.
I will be gone from the office for two weeks, back on March 21,
1994. If you have any questions regarding these issues, please
contact Dave Berry, my supervisor in this interim.
I look forward to working with you in reclaiming the mine and
office sales site this summer.
Sincerely,
Shawn E. Smith ~~,
Environmental Protection Specialist
tpintr.07
