The applicant has adequately addressed the issue of temporary overburden and <br />topsoil stockpiles being placed to 8 e,ax;rm,n, 20-foot height and 100-foot width <br />with 100-foot gaps between 300-foot long piles. however, the piles should be <br />placed parallel to the overbank flow direction, which many times is not parallel to <br />the river. In addition, the piles need to be placed as far away from the channel as <br />possible, rather than between the river and the pit. <br />Again, we thank you the for opportunity to review this application. We ask that the above <br />concerns and comments are considered in your final processing of this application. We <br />look forwazd to working with CAMAS Colorado, Inc. should they decide to pursue <br />options in the future to encroach on the 400-foot setback.
