The Santa Fe Loadouts comprise 3.32 acres, located within the city limits of Trinidad, <br />Colorado, in the Santa Fe railway yard, between N. Linden Ave. and Commercial Street, <br />southeast of Interstate 25. The loadouts are contained within: <br />T32S, R64W, Section 13- E~fzNE~/aNE~/a; <br />Section 13- E~/zNE~/a <br />T32S, R63W, Section 18- WyzNW~/e; <br />6th P.M. <br />The two loadouts are separated by the Atchinson, Topeka, and Santa Fe rail tracks. Santa <br />Fe Loadout No. 1 is located on the west side of the rail line, and comprises 1.3 acres. Santa <br />Fe loadout No. 2 is located on the east side of the rail line, and covers 2.02 acres. The <br />loadout sites may be located on the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute quadrangle map <br />titled 'Trinidad East". The Santa Fe Loadouts No. 1 and 2 were reclaimed during the <br />summer of 1993. <br />Energy Fuels Mining Company submitted an application for Phase I, II and III bond release <br />of the Santa Fe Loadouts on August 14, 1995. The Division notified Energy Fuels Mining <br />Company on August 17, 1995 that the application had been deemed incomplete on August <br />16, 1995. Upon submittal of proof of publication of the public notice, and proof of the <br />written notices required under Rule 3.03.2(1), the Division found the application complete <br />on October 30, 1995. The Division and Energy Fuels Mining Company scheduled a bond <br />release inspection for November 17, 1995. The surface landowner, the Atchinson, Topeka <br />and Santa Fe Railroad, and the Office of Surface Mining-Denver Field Office were notified <br />of the scheduled inspection. The Office of Surface Mining declined to attend the inspection. <br />The Phase I, II and III bond release inspection was conducted on November 17, 1995 in <br />accordance with Rule 3.03.2(2). Parties present during the inspection included <br />representatives of the Division, Energy Fuels Mining Company, and the Atchinson, Topeka <br />and Santa Fe Railroad. <br />
