United States Army Corte of Ens:ineers <br />Regional General Permit Number 37 (200275200) <br />Four Corners Materrarls -Thomas Pit <br />PROJECT CHRONOLOGY <br />2002 <br />JIJN Regional General Permit Number 37 {#2tl027~206) issued us Faun Comers iviaten:~i:., <br />Inc. This permit authorizes certain limited discharges of dredged and fill material for <br />streambank and streambed stabilization projects. Authorization is valid until June 6, <br />2005. <br />2003 <br />MAR Diversion Dam is constructed, directing flow of river to natural chancel on east side of <br />Dike Berm, allowing work in the west channel to begin. Bank is sloped in preparation <br />for concrete block placement. <br />APR Jetty is constructed and annoying completely installed. Slope grading is accomplished. <br />Diversion dam is removed on April 28m. <br />MAY Peak runoff reaches base of top row of blocks. Some sceur of material occurs beneath <br />and beside bottom row of blocks in center portion of armored section. Cabling keeps <br />system int~K. <br />AUG Slope ishydro-seeded with mix approved is permit, covered with excelsior blanket. <br />Twenty-foot-wide swath on top of embankment is hydro-seeded and hydro-mulched. <br />2004 <br />MAR Erosion that occurred between and beneath blocks during 2003 runoff is repaired. <br />MAY Peak runoff is lower than previous year, but erosion occurs again in mule portion of <br />armored section. <br />Vegetation growing well on slope and top of embankment Some volunteer willows and <br />cottonwoods coming up between blocks. <br />2005 <br />JAN Excavation of the lake (originally scheduled for 2003) begins, continues through Mazch. <br />Approximatelyone-half permitted quantity of saw and gravel is removed. <br />
