f;r <br />LJ <br />-2- <br /> <br />free seed bed. Fertilizer will be applied in conjunction with <br />the discing operation. Seeding will then be performed using a <br />grass land drill. The entire operation will take approximately <br />one to two weeks and be performed during a period from May <br />to August. <br />A commercial fertilizer will be used and will be based <br />upon a soil analysis at the time of reclamation as recommended <br />by the S.C.S. <br />A seeding mixture has been recommended by ttie Soil <br />Conservation Service for irrigated pasture in this area. This <br />mixture will be used and contains 1 Lb. of Creeping Foxtail <br />(Garrison), 1 Lb. of Orchard Grass ( Latan or Potomas Tardus), <br />1/2 Lb. of Timothy (Climax), and 1/2 Lb. of White Clover (Ladino). <br />These quantities are given in pure live seed per acre. <br />The existing haul road, well, and buildings will <br />remain as they are. The existing fence will be lengthened <br />to protect revegetated areas Prom livestock until the grasses are <br />established. Fencing mill be four strand barb wire. <br />This initial reclamation work will take from six <br />months to on`e year of total time and require approximately 20 <br />days of actual work. As no major reclamation can bei;in until <br />mining ends, and as mining is planned oa a continual basis, <br />no date has been set to begin reclamation. <br />
