<br />•- ~-. -..- .: 1 <br />~F~ <br />RECLAMATION PLAN (~7) <br />THOMAS PIT - ANIrSAS AGGREGATES, INC. <br />The majority of this site (approximately 16 acres) <br />is made up of river wash materials consisting of sand and <br />gravel only with no overburden. The area of excavati~~n is entirely <br />within this area and will not be reveee~ated• Included in this <br />unrevegetated area are the dredge hole and channel, s~attling <br />pond and ditch, and the existing hole excavated at the north end <br />of the affected area. The dredge hole and channel al~~ng with <br />the e= fisting hole will remain as they are at present except that <br />walls will be sloped to ?:L or-f-latter.- The settling pond <br />and ditch will be obliterated <br />dozer. <br />This work will be done with a <br />At least 50 narrow leaf cottonwoods will be planted <br />as bare root stock is this area. They will b'e random:Ly spaced <br />along the west side of the dredge hole and south to the south <br />boundary of the affected area. These trees will be p:Lanted during <br />the spring and watered as required the first summer. No <br />replanting of trees will be performed as it is expectfad with <br />normal mortality rates to retain approximately two do::en of the <br />trees. <br />As shown on the reclamation map approximate]y ten (10) <br />acres of the site will be revegetated with grasses as irrigated <br />pasture. This area is relatively flat (slope = 3~ +'~ and at <br />present is used for stockpiling and processing aggregates. <br />Upon the end of operations and beginning of reclamation this area <br />.~--- <br />will be cleaned of all stock piles and other foreign materials. <br />The soil will be plowed and disced for aeration and to obtain a weed <br />-1- <br />
