Draft copy
STIPULATION #6 - WITHIN 90 DAYS AFTER PERMIT ISSUANCE, THE PERMITEE MUST
PROVIDE THE DIVISION WITH ACCEPTABLE SUCCESS STANDARDS FOR COVER AND PRODUCTIVITY
AT THE LOADOUT FACILITY. ALSO, SPECIES DIVERSITY AND WOODY PLANT DENSITY STAND-
ARDS MUST BE PROVIDED FOR THE TRUCK DUMP - DRYLAND GRASSLAND AREA.
The following table was generated from vegetation studies done at the load-
out. The Pinyon-Juniper Woodland area and the Rubber Rabbitbrush Shrubland was
sampled quantitatively and the other areas were sampled qualitatively using data
from similar areas and publications. Snowmass proposes to use these cover and
productivity numbers for success standards. The Pinyon-Juniper Woodland numbers
were generated from a reference area and the other numbers were obtained from
areas adjacent to the disturbed areas.
Pinyon-Juniper Woodland
Rubber Rabbitbrush Shrubland
Big Sagebrush Shrubland
Riparian Woodland
Meadow Grassland
Haylands (Hayed)
Haylands (Pastured)
Cover Productivity
57.7% 123 lbs./acre
45.3% 461 lbs./acre
50% 1,500 lbs./acre
80% No Data
80% No Data
95% 5,000 lbs./acre
70% 5,000 lbs./acre
For the truck dump - dryland grassland area, Snowmass proposes to use
the woody plant densities and species diversity obtained from the Rubber Rabbit-
brush Shrubland area. These numbers are: Woody plant density - 10,605 shrubs/
acre.
(NOTE: As with the mine site, Snowmass proposes to consider this area success-

fully reclaimed if 20% or more of this original density is obtained).
