.. <br /> <br />Detailed information concerning mining plans, reclanation plans, <br />information on area resources, environmental effects of proposed operations, <br />etc., are contained in Castle Concrete (bmpary's Pestated Applimtion <br />for Mining and Reclamation Permit, Pikeview Quarry, 1980, 77-211, as <br />amended, filed with and approved by the Mined land Declamation Board of <br />the State of Colorado. 'Ibis document is incorporated into and made a <br />part of this Operating Plan by reference and is hereafter referred to as <br />the State Plan. <br />II. MINIIQG PLAN <br />The mining plan far the Pikeview Quarry is contained in Exhibit C <br />and Exhibit D of the State Plan. <br />Confidential informatics is claimed as to the natise, depth and <br />thickness of deposits discussed in Exhibit D of the State Plan. <br />As referenced in Exhibits C and D of the State Plan, the youth <br />Placer is contained in Tract AC and the North Placer is contained in <br />Tract PA. <br />Mining in the South Placer will occur intenrittently for the next <br />20-25 years. It is anticipated that the entire 20 acre claim will be <br />mined. <br />Dlining in the North Placer will move up the canyon, primarily on <br />the east side. Mining will take place for the next 90 years. At least <br />15 acres of the claim will be mined. <br />In general, the mining plan calls for renoving the vegetation, <br />stripping and storing plant growth medium, mining and renoving the <br />deposit, shaping and grading to a 2:1 slope, average gradient with <br />benches, top soiling and disturbed areas, and revegetating. Processing <br />operations will take place on private land. Processing and other solid <br />waste disposal will also be on private land. <br />III. ACCESS AI~R> ROAD RE(<VIREMEI7PS <br />Primary Access <br />Access to the Pikeview Oiarry is fran Allegheny Drive, a public <br />street, approximately one-half mile eat of the ciuarry. A deuble-lane, <br />graded and drained gravel road, known as the Pikeview Quarry Road, <br />connects Allegheny Drive with the quarry. Primary access is entirely on <br />privately owned land or public streets outside the National Forest <br />boundary. <br />Access to Claims <br />A series of existing roads in the E 1/2 DTE 1/4 SE 1/4, Section 9, <br />T13S, R67W, 6th P.M., will be used to gain access to the South Placer <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />
