<br />CASTLE CONCRETE COMPANY <br />PIKEVIEW QUA^.RP,Y <br />NORTH AND SOUTH PLACER <br />MINING CLAIMS <br />OPERATING PLAN <br />ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS <br />The following additional requirements are added to and <br />incorporated in the Operating Plans submitted May 13, 1983, <br />by Castle Concrete Company for its North and South Placer <br />Claims in E1 Paso County, Colorado. <br />1. AN~~L REPfJRTS~. ..Castle shall films a co.py~;.pf its <br />Annual ReporE"o~"the Pi~tev ew quarry made to the State of <br />Colorado, Mined Land Reclamation Division, with the local <br />Forest Service Office. It is noted the permit anniversary <br />date is May 27 of each year. Either included in the Annual <br />Report filed with the State of Colorado or by separate <br />document, Castle will outline its mining and reclamation <br />plans for the North and South Placer for the next anniversary <br />year period. <br />2. AMENDMENTS OR TECHNICAL REVISIONS. Castle will <br />file with the Forest Service a copy of any amendment applications <br />or technical revisions submitted to the State of Colorado, <br />Mined Land Reclamation Division, which concern the North or <br />South Placer. <br />3. PLANT GROWTH MEDIUM, Piles of plant growth medium <br />will be protected from wind and water erosion including <br />mulching or temporary seeding, if needed. Shallowide piles <br />will be used where feasible to encourage the soil buildup <br />process of micro organisms. <br />4. DRAINAGE CONTROL. Appropriate drainage control <br />methods will be used at locations determined by the Forest <br />Service to prevent sediment from reaching the drainage to <br />the south of the South Placer claim. Monitoring and replacement, <br />as necessary, are required to insure effective sediment <br />control. <br />5. DUST. Fugitive dust caused by mining and hauling <br />operations on the North and South Placer claims will be kept <br />at a minimum by watering or other reasonable methods, if <br />necessary, when directed to do so by the Forest Service. <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />
