The site inspection was conducted on June 17, 1997, for surety related <br />purposes. Our responses below aze numbered in the same way as on page 3 of your <br />inspection report. <br />1. Mine identification and perimeter markers have been installed. <br />2. Parkerson has no plan to disturb lands within the areas identified as "previously <br />mined". <br />3. Permittee will save and stockpile the top 8 inches of material stripped from <br />mining areas. S. Soil Conservation Service report for the permit is attached <br />to this letter for your information. The report recognizes that the site soils are weak in <br />organic materials. <br />The SCS report recommends that topsoil should be stripped and stockpiled. <br />According to the report, not all of the areas will be able to be topsoiled, and it <br />recommends that as much area as possible should be covered with the available material. <br />The report recites that the area to be reclaimed is extremely droughty and revegetation <br />
