The statements on page 88a regarding fertilization and vegetation success standards do not appear to adequately address Stipulations 5 and 6 of the permit, nor do they reflect the stipulation response submitted by Twin Pines in 1985. This narrative should be revised. Revegetation 1. The permit application contains two different sets of seed mixes. The mix given on page 88 (Rev.) is the mix approved by the Mined Land Reclamation Division. The mixes listed on pages 89 and 90 are US-SCS seed mixes which were not approved by the Division. Pages 89 and 90 should be deleted from the application. 2. Page 88a (added) of the application discusses revegetation standards. As discussed in the findings document (page 30) this section is ambiguous. Therefore Stipulation No. 6 was incorporated into the findings document. On Mdy 23, 1985 Twin Pines sent a letter to the Mined Land Reclamation Division stating that "Twin Pines agrees to the general standards set - forth in Stipulation No. 6". Twin Pines should revise page 88a (added) of the application, removing the confusing sections and clearly describing the general standards which they will commit to for the revegetation standards. II: Status of Stipulations Stipulation No. 1 THE PERMITTEE WILL SUBMIT TO THE DIVISION QUARTERLY MONITORING REPORTS FOR BOTH THE TWIN PINES MONITORING WELL AND FOR THE CALDIROLA MINE WELL. THE MONITORING REPORTS MUST INCLUDE MONTHLY WATER LEVEL MEASUREMENTS, AND MEASUREMENTS OF pH AND ELECTRO-CONDUCTIVITY. THE QUALITY OF WATER IN BOTH WELLS MUST BE MONITORED QUARTERLY ACCORDING TO THE FOLLOWING PARAMETERS: pH POTASSIUM CONDUCTIVITY (at 25°C) SODIUM T.D.S: SULFATE TOTAL HARDNESS ALUMINUM S.A:R: ARSENIC BICARBONATE BORON CALCIUM CADMIUM CARBONATE COPPER CHLORIDE IRON _ FLUORIDE LEAD MAGNESIUM MANGANESE AMMONIA MERCURY NITRATE MOLYBDENUM PHOSPHATE SELENIUM ZINC -4-
