Technical Revisions 15, 20, and 24 affected the surface and ground water
monitoring plans and have been incorporated into this permit revision.
The present reclamation activities are currently causing a negligible
impact on the quantity and quality of ground water in Stollsteimer Creek
(Exhibit 38 of Federal Lease permit revision application). The
reclamation may have some small impact on the quality of surface water in
the future. Therefore, Stipulation No. 19, which is summarized in TR-24,
outlines the surface water monitoring program until all reclamation
activities are completed or when it can be shown there is no impact on
the surface water.
Stipulation No. 19:
THE SURFACE WATER MONITORING PROGRAM WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
MONITORING FREQUENCY AND ALL WATER ANALYSES WILL BE PERFORMED USING
THE PARAMETERS LISTED BELOW:
MONITORING SITE FLOW MEASUREMENT WATER SAMPLING
DESIGNATION FREQUENCY FREQUENCY
Sl
S2
S3
pH (FIELD)
CONDUCTIVITY AT 25 C (FILED)
TOTAL DISSOLVED SOLIDS
TOTAL SUSPENDED SOLIDS
OIL AND GREASE
SODIUM ADSORPTION RATIO
BICARBONATE
MAGNESIUM
QUARTERLY SEMI-ANNUAL
QUARTERLY SEMI-ANNUAL
QUARTERLY SEMI-ANNUAL
REQUIRED PARAMETERS
SULFATE
ALUMINUM
IRON
MANGANESE
ZINC
CALCIUM
NITRATE
SODIUM
THE RESULTS OF THE MONITORING PROGRAM MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE DIVISION
SEMI-ANNUALLY.
-8-
