O. Box 16006 <br />Denver, Colorado 80216 <br />STATUS OF APPLICANT: Owner <br />LOCATION OF REQUEST: North of the 128th Avenue alignment <br />between Brighton Road. and Nome Street <br />CHANGE REQUESTED: Conditional use for an asphalt batch plant <br />SIZE OF SITE: 5 acres <br />EXISTING ZONING: A-3, conditional use for sand and gravel <br />extraction. <br />EXISTING LAND USE: Vacant, but approved in Case No. 90-80-CP <br />for mining and reclamation. <br />ZONE AND COMPATABILITY ANALYSIS: <br />All of the property surrounding the site is zoned A-3 with <br />the exception of the Carter Acres Subdivision zoned A-2 to <br />the southwest. Development in the area consists of very <br />sparse residential with two homes located on the east side of <br />Nome Street at approximately the 130th Avenue alignment and <br />sparse residential development along Brighton Road to the <br />west. The site of this request is within the Brannan 132nd <br />Avenue Subdivision and will be surrounded by mining activity. <br />NATURE OF REQUEST: <br />GENERAL SUMMARY: <br />Case No. 90-80-CP was approved in late 1980. In that <br />case the applicant was approved for mining and <br />reclamation of 145.5 acres located between roughly 124th <br />
