.-
Subsequently, the Division solicited bids for completion of
reclamation of the West Pit. The low bid accepted by the Division
included an estimate of approximately $29,000 for the work
addressed in the agreement. The Division's $18,500 estimate was
apparently inadequate. The Division, the Corley Company and the
contractor doing the work have agreed to a plan for completing the
work which is acceptable to all parties. That plan is outlined in
the attached proposed agreement, which all parties have.agreed will
rectify the drainage problems in the GEC West Pit.
Incidently, the West Pit work is being done in conjunction with
reclamation of all post-law GEC disturbance on Dr. Corley's
property outsied of the "East Pit". Other than seeding, which may
be postponed by winter weather, this work should be completed by
the end of December.
Sincerely,
,,,
r Cv~,e
~.:
Larry Routten
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Dr. W.D.
