addition, the hydrology monitoring plan should include an
annual report.
IV. Maps
This section outlines changes in maps which must be made to bring the
permit application up to date,
Map 4 - Should be revised to include the present structures, (sediment
ponds) and to update the disturbed and reclaimed area
boundaries.
Map 5 - Should be updated to show the current monitoring sites. The
old monitoring sites as described in the permit application (9)
should also be designated. The Trout Creek mine should be
removed.
Map 9 - The mine facility map should be redrafted to show only the
facilities area, using an appropriate scale (i.e. 1" = 100'>.
Map 12 - The appropriate, revised, post mining topography map should be
inserted into the permit. This should be the map that was
approved for the Revegetation and Post-Mining Topography
Technical Revision. The current sediment pond configuration
should be reflected.
Map 13 - This map appears to be out of date, and does not provide any
additional information. The operator should consider deleting
this map.
Map 13A - The Division is in possession of three different maps marked
13A. One revised map should be submitted to replace these
three. The map should be titled "Post Mining Surface Water
Control Plan." The format of the 1" = 200' map with the 5'
contour interval, dated 12/82, should be followed. All ponds,
collection ditches, diversion ditches, contour furrows, etc.
should be depicted. Design specifications, where appropriate,
should be included. Drainage areas, based on the as-built
topography, should also be included. References to small area
exemptions should be deleted.
Map 15A, 156 - These two maps are both titled "Haul Road Geology Map."
Can one of these be omitted? Can this map be integrated with
the Haul Road Decommission Plan Map?
Map 16 - This map depicts cross-section locations fur the haul road.
Where are these cross-sections?
Map 18 - Please explain this map, and note vhether it is referenced in
the Permit Applicaticn text.
